I was born in Quanah, TX and graduated 4th in my class from Quanah High School.

I enrolled at West Texas A& M University in 1993 and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I returned to school in 1999 to get my teaching degree but have yet to complete the program.

From 1997 to 2000, I worked as a Loan Processor for McAfee Mortgage in Amarillo, TX.  In November on 1997, Brandon and I got married in Quanah. We lived in Canyon, TX for 3 years.

I have two sons; Braden, who was born in 2000; and Cameron, born in 2002.

In 2000, Brandon was offered a job in Arizona, and we moved. After living there for a year, Brandon and I decided that we wanted to live closer to our parents. Brandon got a job at People’s Credit Union and we were on our way to Campo. Fortunately, the Superintendent called me after Brandon had gotten his job and offered me a contract to teach grades 5th and 6th. I was so grateful and here we are.
